Who is Tristan Sutton?

Tristan Sutton completed his secondary education two years early, leaving South Shelby High School in 2008 and subsequently obtaining his GED that same year. He later attended Moberly Area Community College and State Fair Community College.

Many members of Tristan’s family have served our country. Although health issues prevented him from following in their footsteps, his respect for service and commitment to helping others have remained important parts of his life.

Throughout his career, Tristan has enjoyed working in the service industry. Like many Missourians, he’s experienced both sides of the cash register, spent time working in kitchens, and may have even been the person on the other end of the phone when you called for IT support.

Tristan has always taken pride in his willingness and ability to help others. That commitment, paired with a strong work ethic, has allowed him to advance from sales associate to sales manager, food runner to event staff, and technician to team lead. Regardless of the position, he has consistently found the greatest fulfillment in helping people and being of service to his community.

Tristan has no formal affiliations and has never held political office. This is his first political campaign, and he recognizes that his lack of political experience may concern some voters. While inexperience can certainly be a shortcoming, he also believes that one of the greatest strengths of our system of government is the opportunity it provides ordinary citizens to step forward, have a voice, and take an active role in shaping the future of their communities.

What Tristan lacks in political experience, he believes he makes up for in life experience. His background in the service industry has kept him grounded, teaching him the value of hard work and giving him firsthand experience with the financial challenges many working Missourians face.

His professional experiences have helped shape the compassion, understanding, and patience he brings to his work and interactions with others. Combined with his determination and dedication to the things he believes in, these qualities have consistently allowed him to grow and excel throughout his career.
Tristan believes these are the very qualities Missourians should expect from their elected representatives, particularly when the decisions being made directly affect their families, livelihoods, and communities.

He also believes that responsible representation requires more than good intentions. Decisions affecting the lives of others should never be made without a thorough understanding of the issues and their potential consequences. For that reason, Tristan remains committed to continually researching, learning, and better understanding the challenges facing the people of Missouri’s 4th House District.

His commitment to those he hopes to represent is simple: every bill, every meeting, and every decision he takes part in will receive the careful consideration and thorough investigation necessary to reach a well-informed position.

For Tristan, public service isn’t about political experience or personal recognition. It’s about taking the responsibility of representation seriously and working to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people he serves.
